Dark Mountain Issue 28 - Uncivilised Art

I received an invitation to co-edit the upcoming issue of Dark Mountain, Issue 28, titled Uncivilised Art. Co-Director Charlotte Du Cann has brought me together with Caroline Ross and Mat Osmond to form the editing team.

Calling all artists and uncivilised art lovers! Submissions are now open for our twenty-eighth book, a special full-colour issue dedicated to the visual arts.
So far on our library shelves we have a poetry-dedicated anthology (steered by Em Strang) and a fiction-based issue (by Nick Hunt). This will be the first collection focused on visual work. If the book were an exhibition, it would be a retrospective, a catalogue of the many genres we have published over the years: photography, illustration, graphic literature, calligraphy, painting, sculpture, land-based artworks, making, installation and performance. And there will be space for texts that explore all of them and the creative frame in which they are made.
