Pacific

This was my first collection, running from 2000 until approximately 2008, captured on film using a Hasselblad 501c camera.

From the first frame I was captivated by the process. Seconds and minutes sitting in the gloaming by the camera as it accumulated the available light. No sounds at all from any human source, a deep peace punctuated only by lapping waves and flying birds.

The blurred horizon suggests infinity, while an overcast sky adds to the tranquil ambiance reminiscent of Victoria, BC.
